Hard to swallow....our American Thanksgiving

It seems so ironic to be posting pictures of our Thanksgiving day feast right after my post about Guatemala. While we were decorating the table for our guests we literally had to stop and pray for our friends. My hope is that we won't ever take what we have for granted. That said, we had such a wonderful time with our friends this weekend. It's always so hard to be away from our families around the holidays, so having great friends really helps!

Elijah and Daddy enjoying some down time watching the parade before dinner preparations began. It was the perfect morning together....Elijah was so happy to be the center of Ryan's attention.

We had Tom and Grace N. and Chris, Lori, and Grace A. over for the whole day. Everyone brought food to share. This worked out well and was such a blessing. The food everyone made was so delicious.

Grace getting a picture of the table setting.

Ryan had to trade his round plate in for a bigger square plate.

Playing Taboo....it was a close game until the girls pulled ahead at the end.

Grace is all bundled up and ready to go home.

It was a full day of food, lots of fun, and great fellowship. We couldn't have been more thankful :).

Glad you enjoyed this special time in your own home. Love the pics of Elijah and Daddy too. Hope you are all feeling better too.

I'm so glad your day was such a blessing. It's good to know God has given you great friends while our family is so "spread out." Your table looked absolutely beautiful. Wish I could have been there. Love ya and miss ya.
