There are days when I can't stand walking up our apartment stairs one more time.
There are days when I don't want to walk the three blocks to our parking lot.
There are days when trying to raise our children in a small space feels overwhelming.
There are days when the walls in this tiny apartment seem to be closing in around me.
There are days when I daydream of having a backyard for our kids to play in.
There are days when I start to feel sorry for myself.
But then I remember them-
And I realize that there are still days that children will walk miles to stand in line for a pair of shoes.
And how there are still days when children raise children
There are still days that families live in single room homes made of cement block
There are still days that children go without food
And remembering makes me even more thankful for a nice, clean, affordable apartment that God has blessed us with.
